A Wrinkle in Time

Chanel Summer Collection

Summer has arrived! Well not really quite yet but at least the Chanel Summer Beauty Collection has! Come rain or shine, this once again gorgeous collection is sure to jump - start that summer feeling.
My favorites are of course the nail polish colors. Chanel always manages to create such a buzz about its nail polish and always creates the color of the season.  No doubt there will be a nail polish frenzy for the colors of the summer when the collection hits the shelves on May 25th. J xoxo

A Royally Fashionable Year

With the eyes of the world watching, Kate Middleton wed her prince charming Prince in the most anticipated dress of the decade. Her choice - a royally guarded secret - was a stunning Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton. Since then she has been established as a fashion icon. She is know for her elegant and ladylike choices and mixing high and low labels. The "Kate Effect" has been heard all around the world causing an influx of elegance in wardrobes of women everywhere. To celebrate their one year anniversary here are some of my favorite looks. Heres to the happy couple and many fashionable years and hopefully some stunning equally fashionable children to come. The Lucky One

Look of the week : I have always been a fan of Caggie Dunlop's style from 'Made in Chelsea' but this look really blew me away. On paper I wouldn't have thought the combinations would  work but it really worked well together, she pulled it off and I absolutely loved the look, definitely my favorite look from her! I love every aspect of the outfit, the coat, blouse, necklaces, the way she did her hair and that clutch! Everything was just perfect! Definitely one to keep your eye on in the fashion stakes, I know I will be drawing inspiration from this look for dinners this winter. J xoxo

Summer Sun

Its that time of year again. Time to hit the beach and soak up some of those summer rays. Now even though its winter here in New Zealand summer is just starting for all you lucky people in the Northern Hemisphere,  and because I am being such a  great procrastinator on my day off school I found some fabulous summer essentials! So its time to hit the beach in some of these gorgeous summer finds! J xoxo

While all the ears are tuning into the music and the amazing performances, i mean we are always going to remember Tupac's appearance right? But all eyes were once again firmly placed on the fashion. Like always this year turned out some amazing looks. Here are some of my favorites :

1) Dree Hemingway in Dolce & Gabbana. I am in love with this look from Dolce & Gabbana, the color, pattern and the two piece cut are bang on trend for summer. Just perfect!

2) Jamie Chung. I really loved the contrast between the tomboy army inspired jacket and the femininity of maxi skirt. And that necklace is just gorgeous, the color is beautiful! I will definitely be wearing some Jamie Chung inspired looks this summer.

3) Rosie Huntington Whiteley looking gorgeous as usual! I am obsessing over the floral denim shorts and I really like how she has dressed down this seemingly formal white blouse and it works really work
with the more casual shorts and accesories. She is always one to watch style wise

A touch of Orange Zest

We like our beauty to be freshly squeezed so a touch of the outpouring of orange we have found on the runways is a must try trend for this summer. A little tangerine flair can be perfect for brightening your outfit as we transition into spring. You can add little zests of orange into your outfit with these mouth-wateringly orange accessories or you can go for full on orange flair like we saw on the runway at Hermes. Have fun working "The color of the millennium" and I hope you can rock this summer trend with some equally summery weather. J xoxo

Rock the Rainbow

After the dreary cold winter months have passed we all want some color in our lives. Colored jeans are a great way to add a bit of color into your wardrobe especially with the weather getting warmer and those summer colors emerging in all shapes and forms. If you are a bit shyer you can wear some pastel jeans or if you are feeling bright and bold you can rock the brighter colored jeans for example red, green or even purple. I think colored jeans are a great trend and a fun way to add a bit of color and to brighten up what could have been a boring outfit. I am definitely going to get my hands on some pastel blue and pink jeans. Have fun rocking the rainbow. J xoxo

Here Comes the Bride

I know I am not going to get married for a while, 15 would be a tad young....... so I wont be wearing this collection down the aisle anytime soon but needless to say this collection was magical, it absolutely took my breath away. Oscar de la Renta did an amazing job. I love the use of traditional patterns, colors and shapes and the spring flower aesthetic with a little bit of Royal Wedding inspiration in the mix contrasted to the not so traditional bright blues and the red that were featured in the collection. But my favorite part was actually the nail polish, I just loved the fact that it was the 'Something Blue' it was that little thing that made the collection whole and made it even more perfect and was such a smart interesting idea.
